About Rainbow
The story behind Rainbow
Built on the belief that whichever path you take to start or grow your family, it should feel personal, supported and connected.
For some people, the path to becoming a parent looks different from the one they once imagined, bringing uncertainty, questions and difficult decisions. For others, the path may always have been clear, but knowing where to begin can still be difficult.
Rainbow exists to make exploring the different paths to starting or growing a family a little easier.

Maddy’s story
When I was diagnosed with PCOS, I was told I would probably struggle to have children. And that was pretty much it.
I was handed this enormous, life-changing piece of information, with little guidance on what it might mean. Feeling frustrated and confused, I kept coming back to the same question: What now?
That question stayed with me. I experienced miscarriages and high-risk pregnancies, with monitoring, uncertainty and worry along the way.
After my second child was born, I began looking into surrogacy as an option, and whilst I ultimately didn’t go down that route, it opened my eyes to another question:
When exploring surrogacy, how do you connect with others who are considering it too?
The Facebook group I found made incredibly personal conversations feel very public. Then, through someone who became a friend, I saw the other extreme: a more formal matching process where the people involved hadn’t necessarily had enough say in whether they were genuinely compatible.
It felt like a middle ground was missing. A dedicated space where you’re fully in control, with the freedom to explore options, and get to know others at your own pace, before deciding together what might come next.
That idea became Rainbow.
An app for people exploring surrogacy, donation and co-parenting - designed to help you connect, explore your options and begin answering your own ‘What now?'
I truly hope Rainbow helps you find your answer.

Connection before commitment
We believe the best decisions begin with genuine connection.
The Rainbow app offers a private, supportive space to connect with others, get to know them, build trust and decide for yourselves whether taking the next step feels right.
That principle began with surrogacy and now extends across donation and co-parenting.
Because when something is this important, the pace and the decisions about what happens next should stay with the people at the heart of the process.
Why Rainbow?
The name Rainbow comes from the idea of a ‘rainbow baby’ - a baby born after a previous pregnancy or baby loss - a meaning that is deeply personal to Maddy following her own experiences of miscarriage.
For Rainbow, the name has come to represent something broader too: hope, possibility and the idea that the route to parenthood can change without the dream of becoming a parent disappearing with it.
